A poem mourning Nanxiu Qian

《悼钱南秀君》
同研义庆后先行，
世说幽明细铨评。
联袂首遭篇未了，
闻君驾鹤赴蓬瀛。*

* 我与南秀都是研究临川王刘义庆的，分别研究《世说新语》和《幽明录》。去年我邀南秀为我和梅维恒教授主编的《Routledge 中国古典文学手册》合写《志怪与志人》词条，她欣然应允并于今年十月完成初稿。近日我发电子邮件邀她对文稿稍作调整，惊闻她已驾鹤西去。不胜感慨。
