Professor Qian was supportive of junior scholars and touched lives like mine.
I have started to know Professor Qian when I was a graduate student at McGill. My former professor Grace Fong invited her to give a lecture then. She has become a source of inspiration, encouragement, and support ever since then. I have read all her publications and cited her work in my own. I also often got together with her during the conferences we both went to. Our reunions were always cheerful and unforgettable...now she is dearly missed!!!
