Dr. Qian was an incredibly supportive and inspiring professor. In last year's iteration of Traditional Chinese Novels, she helped develop my ideas and introduce a completely unfamiliar subject. Now, some of the stories we've read are favorites and have helped me contextualize so much more material. She deeply affected my love of traditional Chinese literature and helped inspire me to pursue the humanities.
